How Is It Done?
SkinPen® microneedling, lasting 30 – 60 minutes, is performed in a private treatment room with optional local anesthesia or numbing cream. Most patients report little or no discomfort. The treated skin is cleansed, and the microneedling handpiece is evenly passed over. Following microneedling, platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) or a vitamin-infused serum may be applied for deeper nutrient penetration. A moisturizer and sun protection are then applied as the treated skin becomes more sensitive post-procedure.
